Shakespeare Week
Our whole school explored A Midsummer Night’s Dream as part of Shakespeare Week, using the magical story as inspiration for a range of creative writing. In Reception, children created flowers and woodland scenes, labelled their work, and even designed their own love potions. Year 1 pupils made magical flowers and wrote labels to explain their special powers, while Year 2 used adjectives to craft detailed descriptions of fairy characters. In Year 3, children wrote poems using alliteration and personification to bring the forest setting to life. Year 4 pupils described their own dreams, showcasing a range of writing skills, including the use of speech.
