Pirehill First School

Welcome

SEND and Pupil Premium

Your SENCo is Mrs Barfoot

My name is Mrs Barfoot and I am the school’s Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Co-ordinator (SENCo).

I work closely with class teachers, support staff, pupils and families to help ensure that all children with SEND are supported to access learning, make progress and feel included in school life.

If you have any concerns regarding your child, please speak to your child’s class teacher in the first instance. If you would like to discuss your child’s needs further, please feel free to contact me at senco@pirehill.staffs.sch.uk

We are committed to working in partnership with families to support every child to thrive.

Pupil Premium is additional funding provided by the government to schools to help improve the educational outcomes of disadvantaged pupils. It was introduced to ensure that children from lower-income families, those in care, or children with parents in the armed forces have the same opportunities to succeed as their peers.

Pirehill uses this funding to provide targeted support, resources, and opportunities to help these pupils achieve their full potential.

Please see the documents for more details about Pupil Premium funding at Pirehill, our expenditure and pupil progress in relation to the 'narrowing the gap' agenda.
