The RE Lead is Mrs Spivey.
RE is an important part of our curriculum because it helps children make sense of the world around them. It encourages them to ask big questions, think deeply, and understand different beliefs and cultures. Through RE, children learn to show respect, develop empathy, and celebrate the diversity of our school, community, and wider world. It also supports their personal development and helps them reflect on their own values and ideas.
Each key stage involves an in-depth study of the beliefs and practices at the heart of Christianity and other Abrahamic and Dharmik religions. RE is taught as a subject in its own right but incorporates many other aspects of the curriculum including drama, dance and music. Children are encouraged to ask questions, offered stimulating learning experiences and set challenging tasks in their weekly lessons.
